Hayleys Fentons Installs Integrated Fire Protection Systems for Phase II of Advantis Logistics City

Hayleys Fentons, the first and largest company in Sri Lanka in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) sector, contracted with Advantis 3PL Plus, the market leader in Third Party Logistics (3PL),

fire protection and detection system for the warehouse, a mezzanine area of 2800 square metres, and additional storage space of 8300 square metres. This follows the to provide complete fire systems for their landmark expansion project, Phase 2 of Advantis Logistics City, which stands as Sri Lanka’s largest distribution hub spanning across 455,000 sq. ft.

Hayleys Fentons’ delivered a comprehensive successful completion of fire systems for Phase 1 of Advantis Logistics City in 2019.

This project earned a gold award at the 2023 National Project Management Excellence Awards for ‘Best Managed Project’ in the Construction/Infrastructure Development Sector.

This tier 1 addressable detection and alarm system is integrated to ensure immediate response to safeguard people and inventory. Its suppression system covers maximum protection requirements, ensuring that any incident can be managed effectively to minimise potential damage to the warehouse inventories.

This involved meticulous planning and customisation to ensure seamless integration of the new system with the existing infrastructure. A phased approach was implemented, maintaining strong communications with suppliers and using air freight for critical materials to ensure timely delivery. We also provided comprehensive training for staff to familiarise them with modern fire detection and suppression technology,” stated Sujith De Alwis, Director and CEO of Hayleys Fentons.
