AIA Insurance Lanka has once again established its position as an organisation that places people and leadership at the heart of its success, by securing top honours at the CLA Great Manager Awards 2025, presented by the Colombo Leadership Academy (CLA).

In addition, nine AIA Sri Lanka leaders were individually recognised at the CLA Great Manager Awards 2025, marking the highest number of award recipients AIA has achieved in a single evaluation cycle. The Colombo Leadership Academy further confirmed that AIA recorded the highest number of Great Manager Award winners among all organisations evaluated this year, a significant milestone.

The AIA leaders recognised at the CLA Great Manager Awards 2025 are: Zarah Juriansz Chief Investment Officer, Chammika Dharmamali Assistant General Manager, Hasanga Ranaweera Assistant General Manager, Shamen Sameera Assistant General Manager, Teran Withanage  Assistant General Manager, Ishan Tissera Assistant General Manager, Dhanushka Samarajeewa Head Claims Administration, Indunil Kumari Senior Regional Manager and Nadeesha Samarasinghe Manager.

The individuals were recognised under key categories including ‘Building Team Effectiveness and Collaboration’, ‘Leadership Integrity and a Holistic Approach, ‘Coaching and Developing Others for Growth’ and ‘Driving Results and Execution Excellence’.

The CLA Great Manager Awards Programme, powered by CLA Coaching & Consulting Inc., is widely regarded as a benchmark for assessing managerial effectiveness. The programme evaluates leaders across five core dimensions: driving growth, aligning goals, coaching, building teams and integrity.

Director of Human Resources, Thushari Pereranoted that the recognition reflects AIA’s deeply embedded leadership and people culture. “Leadership is not defined by title alone. It is about enabling people to perform at their best, creating an environment where collaboration thrives, and ensuring that individual growth is aligned with organisational purpose.”

“AIA’s work culture is shaped by a strong belief in inclusive leadership, continuous capability building, and coaching‑led management. Managers are encouraged to lead with integrity, develop future leaders, and create teams that are both resilient and purpose‑driven,” she said.
